Is Network Marketing A Good Business Model?

network marketingNetwork Marketing Is A Good Business Model

Network marketing allows ordinary people to build a business.

Network marketing or MLM is one of the most powerful business models available without a major investment. If you look at franchises you will see that, not only to you have to have a very large financial investment, you also have to have a major time investment. Network marketing can be started on a small budget and part time.

In his book Rich Dad Poor Dad, Robert Kiyosaki writes concerning network marketing:

“When I speak to adults who want to earn more money, I always recommend the same thing. I suggest taking a long view of their life. Instead of simply working for the money and security, which I admit are important, I suggest they take a second job that will teach them a second skill.

Often I recommend joining a network marketing company, also called multilevel marketing, if they want to learn sales skills. Some of these companies have excellent training programs that help people get over their fear of failure and rejection, which are the main reasons people are unsuccessful.”

If you have tried offline network marketing and therefore shy away from network marketing take a good look before you reject it.

Online network marketing is quite different from the traditional offline network marketing. You will not have to harass your family or friends, make cold calls, run newspaper ads, etc. With all the lead generation methods available online today you can build your business on auto-pilot. You may not have to call prospects at all, and if you do you will only call those who have already expressed interest in what you have to offer.

In this article we will look at five things to consider when starting an online Network Marketing business.

Join an upline with a good training system: While the company is important, a good upline is more important than the company. A good upline offers you excellent support and training. It will not only teach you how to build your business, it will also teach you how to train your downline.

You must invest in advertising: No one will buy your products or join your business if thy don’t know you exist. There are two types of online advertising, free and paid. If you don’t have much money to invest then you will have to invest time and effort. I suggest you get Mike Dillard’s book “Building on a Budget.” If you have some money to invest in advertising I suggest you get some training such as Mike Dillard’s “PPC Domination course”. Even if you use paid advertising you should use free advertising methods such as article marketing, forum marketing, social networking etc.

It will take real work: Network marketing is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It is possible to make money quickly in this business but it is a business and requires work. You must invest in training to learn the principles and skills needed. The major reason most people fail is that they don’t treat Network Marketing as a business.

Network Marketing has some real advantages: The first is that your income grows exponentially and has the potential to literally explode. Secondly most of the problems like customer support, shipping, warehousing, billing, etc. are taken care of by the “company.” Thirdly it builds residual income. This means you do something once and get paid over and over again.

Network Marketing also has disadvantages: You must be prepared to wait for you income. Most companies compensation plans are not designed to pay much in the beginning. They pay those who build an organization of distributors or associates. It takes time to build this. There is only one companyI know of that makes it easy to make a livable income from the beginning. The low beginning income is the reason most people quit before they make a livable income.

Conclusion:

If you are looking for a home based business that will allow you to start small and grow it into a good livable income and if you are willing to put in the effort to succeed then Multi-Level Marketing is a good choice. Find a good network marketing company, start learning how to build your organization online, and get started, it will give you freedom.

Don’t Give Up Your Right To Be Free!

financial freedomDon’t Give Up Your Right To Financial Freedom

Network Marketing May Be Your Door To Financial Freedom

If you live in America and you do not own your own business, you have given up your right to financial freedom.

What does this quote mean? When you have a job, when you work for someone else, you place yourself in a self-imposed prison. You are imprisoned by the time you must be at work. You are imprisoned by the amount of money you can earn. You are imprisoned by the fear of loosing your job, especially in times of economic uncertainty. All of these eat away at your inner being even though you are not necessarily aware of it.

In spite of the economic difficulties we face today in America, people around the world are clamoring to come here. Some even risk their lives to get here. Why? Because this is the land of opportunity. They come to build something for themselves and for their families. More than half of the businesses in America are run by immigrants. They see and take advantage of the opportunity for financial freedom in our great nation.

What is wrong with us as Americans? Are we being taught the wrong things by our parents, schools, and government? America became great because of the entrepreneurial spirit of her people. Today we seem to be taught to depend on others rather than ourselves.

I once read that in 1900 about 95% of Americans worked for themselves. That was a time when our nation was growing and becoming the world leader it is today. How things have changed! Today most people work for someone else. Our nation is on the decline. It doesn’t have to be that way! We can have financial freedom!

If you are interested in the financial freedom that comes from owning your own business you have just a few choices.

  • You can raise the capital and start a business from scratch
  • You can purchase a franchise
  • You can choose Network Marketing

There are probably other options also but these are the most common. The first two require a lot of money to get started. They also have other problems like employees, buildings, accounting (accounts receivable, payable, etc.), customer service, warehousing, shipping, etc. In Network Marketing all of these things are taken care of for you. See my article “Is Network Marketing A Good Business Model?”

Procrastination is the biggest of dreams there is. If you want freedom you must take action now. You must make it happen. Choose a vehicle and get started. I personally have chosen a company that I think is one of the best opportunities available today. It is Prepaid Legal. I have many reasons for choosing it which I will not go into in this article. If you would like to know more about this company click here for financial freedom.

Magnetic Sponsoring

Magnetic Sponsoring is a common term in the world of online network marketing. It is a network marketing system that was developed by Mike Dillard. My research has shown that most of the online business coaches use Magnetic Sponsoring as the basis of their systems. Let’s take a look at what this program is about, what it does and why it’s different.

Magnetic Sponsoring is a solution to the problem of MLM recruiting. The system teaches you how to use multi-level marketing to create the type of life you desire. It teaches you to find and recruit the right kind of people into your business.

In Magnetic Sponsoring you learn to be a farmer instead of a hunter. It teaches you to develop your reputation as a trusted expert in your field. Instead of to chasing people down to tell them about your opportunity at the risk irritating and alienating them, you become attractive to them as a business associate. People come to you. This solves the common problem of prospecting.

One of the biggest problems for network marketers is finding prospects. Cornering your friends and trying to coerce them into your business not only causes relationship problems, it gives network marketing a bad name. Most of us hate the idea of cold-calling. Magnetic Sponsoring teaches the principles necessary to successfully build a network marketing business without the normal pain. It doesn’t mean you won’t have to work hard, but your hard work will be much more productive than using traditional methods.

The basic premise of Magnetic Sponsoring is this:

  • You learn about attraction marketing, including how to effectively create an online presence that leads prospects and customers to you – you don’t have to do any chasing.
  • You learn about the funded proposal system. Funded proposals let you earn money from the beginning. This helps you sustain growth in your business from the first moment and helps you keep the momentum going during critical growing stages.
  • You learn how to use all the tools (there are a lot of them!) the Internet offers for creating your business and building your system.
  • You learn how to continue to grow your downline and business with advanced techniques.

As important as these things are, my favorite part of the system is the funded proposals. By this I mean the techniques used to make your advertising pay for itself.

Attraction marketing just makes sense. Do you see stores like Wal-Mart sending out high-pressure sales people? No, they just let us know that they have the solution to our problem; the problem of the high cost of things we want and need. It is a great concept that works. Magnetic Sponsoring is not some sort of mumbo-jumbo either. It’s a specific system that can be learned and put into action. It will attract people to you, your products, and opportunity. Once you have it set up people will be asking you if they can join your business!

It is a much better way of doing business. The prospects who come to you are primed and ready to get started!

I mentioned the idea of funded proposals earlier. A funded proposal is this: You offer a great quality, but fairly inexpensive product to your target market. When a customer buys this product, a couple good things happen. First you’ve gained a pre-qualified prospect – they’ve shown a genuine interest in what you’re offering and will likely also be interested in your products and opportunity. Second, you’ve made a bit of money to help pay for advertising and continuing to grow your business. For these reasons, funded proposals are very, very effective!

If you add in some good and useful knowledge about how to use the Internet and all it’s tools to your advantage, and how to keep growing your business, and you’ve got a winner of a system. That’s why Magnetic Sponsoring is different! And that’s why you should apply it to your business!

The Cost Of Training

If you have been searching the internet for training on building your business online you have undoubtedly been bewildered with the options and the prices. In this article I would like to take a look into this and see what the best options are.

First of all, I have no intention of running down any of the multitudes of trainers (coaches) found on line. Nor do I have any intention of saying that the prices are unreasonable for the training given. If you have the money to purchase a $5,000.00 or more coaching program and do your due diligence to make sure the training will accomplish what is promised by all means do so. It will certainly reduce your learning time.

On the other hand, if you are like most of us and your budget is tight I would think twice about spending more money than is necessary. The purpose for this blog is to get the information out to those who are willing to work so they don’t have to pay these high prices.

I do suggest that you pay for some training because the other option is to spend a lot of time learning in for yourself. This will take a lot of time and may well discourage you and cause you to stop before you get the success you should expect from an online business.

I have spent the last four months researching this issue. There is one name that keeps coming up over and over. That is Mike Dillard. Almost all of the coaching programs I have looked at use his material. I highly recommend two of his works if you are on a budget. The first, and most important, is Magnetic Sponsoring ($39.95). This will give you the basics that you need. In addition, it gives you access to his training site. The second is Building On A Budget ($29.95). This will give you a lot of information for building your online business on a shoestring budget.

Here are some actual ads for coaching that I have examined to give you an idea of what you can spend if you want to. I have blured the names because I don’t want to defame anyone. These are all good programs.

This product sells for $497

This one is $3995

These two packages are $997 and $5000

This one is $997

The publicity for some of these says that we are foolish to purchase e-books to learn these because we will end up spending a lot of money to do so. The then have the audacity to charge thousands for their product. While it is true that the personal coaching may be worth the money, anyone of normal intelligence can take Mike’s books and figure it out just like those who are coaching. It will take a little longer and a little tweaking to master the process, but it will cost a whole lot less.

There is one other package that I would recommend if you can afford it. It has a monthly fee, but it should soon pay for itself. That is My Lead System Pro. This will give you all the tools you need to build your business and sites to drive traffic to while building your list. You will also have all of the follow-up emails to get you started.

I hope this is of help to you. I am using this to build my MLM business and if you would like to know what company I am with just send me an email (success@coovertwallace.com).

SEO: Ranking Rules Of Thumb

The simple rule of thumb is that content counts, and that content near the top of a page counts for more than content at the end. In particular, the HTML title and the first couple lines of text are the most important part of your pages. If the words and phrases that match a query happen to appear in the HTML title or first couple lines of text of one of your pages, chances are very good that that page will appear high in the list of search results.

A crawler/spider search engine can base its ranking on both static factors (a computation of the value of page independent of any particular query) and query-dependent factors.

Values

  • Long pages, which are rich in meaningful text (not randomly generated letters and words).
  • Pages that serve as good hubs, with lots of links to pages that that have related content (topic similarity, rather than random meaningless links, such as those generated by link exchange programs or intended to generate a false impression of “popularity”).
  • The connectivity of pages, including not just how many links there are to a page but where the links come from: the number of distinct domains and the “quality” ranking of those particular sites. This is calculated for the site and also for individual pages. A site or a page is “good” if many pages at many different sites point to it, and especially if many “good” sites point to it.
  • The level of the directory in which the page is found. Higher is considered more important. If a page is buried too deep, the crawler simply won’t go that far and will never find it.

These static factors are recomputed about once a week, and new good pages slowly percolate upward in the rankings. Note that there are advantages to having a simple address and sticking to it, so others can build links to it, and so you know that it’s in the index
Query-Dependent Factors

  • The HTML title.
  • The first lines of text.
  • Query words and phrases appearing early in a page rather than late.
  • Meta tags, which are treated as ordinary words in the text, but like words that appear early in the text (unless the meta tags are patently unrelated to the content on the page itself, in which case the page will be penalized)
  • Words mentioned in the “anchor” text associated with hyperlinks to your pages. (E.g., if lots of good sites link to your site with anchor text “breast cancer” and the query is “breast cancer,” chances are good that you will appear high in the list of matches.)

Blanket Policy On Doorway Pages And Cloaking
Many search engines are opposed to doorway pages and cloaking. They consider doorway and cloaked pages to be spam and encourage people to use other avenues to increase the relevancy of their pages. We’ll talk about doorway pages and cloaking a bit later.
Meta Tags
Though Meta tags are indexed and considered to be regular text, Some search engines claim it doesn’t give them priority over HTML titles and other text. Though you should use meta tags in all your pages, some webmasters claim their doorway pages for some search engines rank better when they don’t use them. If you do use Meta tags, make your description tag no more than 150 characters and your keywords tag no more than 1,024 characters long.
Keywords In The URL And File Names
It’s generally believed that some search engines give some weight to keywords in filenames and URL names. If you’re creating a file, try to name it with keywords.
Keywords In The ALT Tags
Some search engines index ALT tags, so if you use images on your site, make sure to add them. ALT tags should contain more than the image’s description. They should include keywords, especially if the image is at the top of the page. ALT tags are explained later.
Page Length
There has been some debate about how long doorway pages for some search engines should be. Some webmasters say short pages rank higher, while others argue that long pages are the way to go. According to some search engines help section, it prefers long and informative pages. We’ve found that pages with 600-900 words are most likely to rank well.
Frame Support
some search engines have the ability to index frames, but it sometimes indexes and links to pages intended only as navigation. To keep this from happening to you, submit a frame-free site map containing the pages that you want indexed. You may also want to include a “robots.txt” file to prohibit some search engines from indexing certain pages.

The answer to this question is YES! But it depends on who you are. If you are a person with sales ability and the personal fortitude to take all of the rejection that comes with building that way you can do it by taking your “list” and the lists of those you recruit and build a great business.

We are told that everyone is our prospect. Well, does everyone have the sales skills necessary to build a business? Oh, you say, this isn’t a sales business, we just share the products and the opportunity. If you believe that I have a bridge in Brooklyn I would like to sell you. Every business is a sales business. If there are no sales, there is not business.

sell the average person on your MLM business you first have to convince them that they need a business. Although everyone can learn to be an entrepreneur, not everyone wants to put forth the effort.

If they are looking for a business you have to convince them that yours is right for them. They have to be sold on the company, the products, and most importantly, on you. They must believe that you can help them achieve success.

You see, Network Marketing is a sales business. Presenting it as something else is part of the reason 97% of those who come into the business fail.

So, an MLM business can be built the old fashioned way if you have the ability and the determination to sell others on the business and to handle the rejection.

There is a better way for the rest of us. Most of those reading this will have already figured out that the best way for most people to build their business is to do so online. The question is how do you do it. The competition is fierce. The purpose of this blog is to allow us to share our ideas and to help one another succeed.
